Wah nam is the best place to go jee the chef makes all kinds Chinese Szechuan Thai. I have spent a long time there and had soups egg rolls and 75% of the menu this is the only place I will eat egg foo young and I have been to every place in flint?
This restaurant should be renamed "The Gravy Shoppe." There was no flavor, except gravy and all the dishes tasted the same. The chicken was all heavily breaded and the egg rolls were dry and tasted like cardboard. I am never going back.
MoreI have been going to this restaurant for many years. Fantastic food great service I would highly recommend this restaurant
MoreI remember growing up with this place and having fantastic Chinese food however it is not what it used to be. Service was friendly and attentive but the food would not attract me to this place anymore. My family and I ordered the dinner for four which was a lot of food. I could hear the microwave beeping multiple times from the kitchen as well as phone calls and notifications from personal phones. Fresh and healthy wouldn't be words to describe this place. It's frozen food reheated and doused with loads of salty gravy.I implore the owners and chefs of this once flourishing restaurant to reinvent themselves with authentic Chinese food and ditch the microwave. Use fresh ingredients and show the passion for amazing food once again.
MoreExcellent meal, and good price for a large portion. Staff was friendly and polite. The Thai Curry was amazing, I'll definitely be back for more.
MoreAlways super good and super friendly!
New owner and new dishes. Big portions. Very nice owner. Quiet atmosphere
Food is pretty good. Could use a remodel
Disappointed that they no longer make shrimp toast but they stopped about 12 years ago the menu has gotten twice as large and varied between traditional and vietnamese. The spicey oil made my dish and the steak cow was delicious.
MoreBeware! The first time ordering from there and I will never be back. Ordered sweet and sour chicken. The chicken tasted so bad like cardboard box. The taste was like bad grease. Tasteless fried rice. When I tried to return it no refunds after you leave the building. So basically the made out with 28$ and I got no food that was edible to eat. Oh and if you pay with cash they don't give you a receipt!
MoreAbsolutely awful. Ordered the crab cheese rangoon, shrimp lo mein, hot & sour soup and general tso's chicken. The crab cheese tasted like straight cream cheese, the soup was NOT hot & sour soup! It was like a vegetable soup. And the general tso's was more like chicken lo mein with breaded chicken and a NASTY sauce! The shrimp lo mein was tolerable but bland. Never buying food from this place again.
MoreGreat Authentic Chinese food and great prices! Impeccable service!
Didn't get the right food and the shrimp fried rice was horrible. They charged for sweet and sour sauce and it wasn't even sauce.
MoreAwesome freshly made food! Owners are amazing.
Hands down worst chinese ive ever had. I use to go to this place years ago an travel 30 miles to get there because it was so good. I jist had it for the first time in probally ten years and it was awful. The rice was gross the sweet and sour tasted like jelly and dont het me started on the general chicken. Don not reccomend.
MoreIt was wonderful having found you open for restaurant seating and take out. You did not mind my pulling my mask off. Food superb very much good for your soul. Thank You.
MoreFast and friendly service with all the typical Chinese-food dishes. There is plenty of seating inside and they offer take out as well. They are open on most federal holidays when other restaurants are closed, which is nice.
MoreGreat food with huge portions from the combination menu. We all took food home... Standard Chinese American fare. Jasmine tea capped off wonderful meal. Decor and condition of restaurant are run down, no windows. Nonetheless, good locale offers meeting space with Chinese fare available.
MoreA very good variety of good Chinese food. Beef fried rice, or almond chicken are my favorites. Friendly service.
MoreExcellent and innovative Asian cuisine - a local gem. Under management of a new family who works tirelessly to deliver great family meals at a fair price. Non-GMO, no MSG - they gladly customize your order for no or little cost. I don’t eat Chinese or Thai anywhere else in town! Yummy stuff 🙂
MoreGood food. Nice price.Friendly service.
My husband first took me to wan nams and the orange chicken was amazing. But the past few times we have received food there something seems missing. We got take out and they need up one dinner order. The weekends always seem like the portions are different. The service is nice but always be sure to check what you get.
MoreAbsolutely my favorite Chinese restaurant. Food is always great, and the staff are awesome. I’ve been coming here since i was a kid, and even with owner changes, the food is always wonderful
MoreVery friendly customer service! Great food for a great price!
They can't stand to get their order straight and they wont do anything about it when they screw up. Will not go back
MoreGood food . Didnt come out all at the same time but was good . Really quite. They do alot of takeout business so if your looking for a quiet set down this is it
MoreBig bowl of pho..taste very delicous.
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants of all time. Love their Pepper Steak and highly recommend it too. Popular for take out, but not very popular as a dine in experience. Still a cozy, quiet and peaceful environment.
MorePaid $32 dollars for 4 pieace of chicken and bunch of chicken flavor ramen noodles called up there to bring it back for refund they saod no all I can do is talk the the cook needs to be shut down
MoreThe rice and chicken fried rice was good, but the pepper steak was not.
We ordered 6 different items and pick them up to find 1 missing. After tasting the food I really don't care that it was missing. If you enjoy food that all taste the same or you like truck stop food this place could be for you. On the bright side the rice was good.
MoreLove there egg drop soup, I get it every Wed.
Typed in pho near me, and this place popped up. They did not dissapoint. Large bowl portions, delicious bone broth made from scratch, Fresh bean sprouts and delicate noodles. Will definitely be coming back. Might make it a regular spot for me and my mom. Great job!!
MoreDelicious food from seriously nice owners. They do everything they can to make sure your food is correct and fresh. I’ve been coming here since I was little! Definitely a must try!
MoreNicest people and good food
Cheap food not good good good not cheap .but this has the best food you'll ever eat.
MoreI dont care what anyone says, this place has awesome food. Their almond chicken is amazing and best egg rolls. Glad I found this place, my old one in lapeer closed.
MoreWait staff was very friendly, made sure we were taken care of. Food was fresh and hot. I had the General Tso combo and my husband had the Sesame Chicken combo. Egg drop soup was great, absolutely loved the egg rolls, all around a great experience. And you can't beat the prices! Definitely would recommend!
MoreGreat food, large portions and great prices.
great prices, portions, selection, and food!
Wonder ful place! The food was great. Good prices.
Best Chinese restaurant I've found around the Flint area. Fresh, well prepared and not greasy. - LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
MoreComing from the perspective of so many oriental restaurants being similar and bland, Wah Nam's food was a surprising up lift. Many of the dishes you could pick out from many other locations, but with a kick of care in cooking they were elevated and stand out from the rest. Ask the chef for a side of her in house chili oil or paste to add some heat if you want a spicy treat. We are early in the revamp post COVID at the time of writing, so the place was pretty empty. Dish ordered was the sesame chicken.
MoreNot fancy but very good food at great prices and very fast.
Wah Nam's used to be great, we ordered from them regularly. The food was hot and fresh and couldn't be beat! Now they are under new management and the food was terrible. I used to love their egg rolls, now I could get better from the supermarket freezer section! The sweet and sour sauce used to have fruit in it, now it tastes like it came from a jar. I hate when new owners come in and cut corners thinking it will help their bottom line. We are now going elsewhere for our Chinese take out!
MoreOrdered sweet and sour chicken. They literally only gave me 9 small pieces of chicken in a while dinner meal. O.o So like.... Not going here again.
MoreThis is the worst ever. how are these guys in business. General tso is so horrible and has more onion than anything and glorified ketchup for sauce and its chicken strips eggroll horrible crab ragoons were nothing but creamcheese not even 1 piece of crab 1st time eating there and never again do t waste your time portion is nothing without good flavor all i paid for was portio s of grabage cause thats where it went but still hungry 👿
MoreConsistently good.
Beef Pho was a major disappointment, but the spring rolls were very good.
How can I describe one of the worst Asian restaurants I've ever been to? There was no one there but me, I should have turned and walked away. It advertised itself as a pho shop. It was the worst pho I've ever had. Also the worst spring rolls I've ever seen, simply inedible. No bad superlative can describe it. See photos and understand. On the positive side, the tea was good and the atmosphere inside was decent.
MoreHaven’t been there in a long time went this evening and the place looks great! They have cleaned it up carpet was deep cleaned, walls cleaned everything looked fresh and clean! The food and service was awesome, we have always loved the food her even when new owners took over. The place needed a deep cleaning and it got it we will be back soon! Great job
